I bought this when the weather in Central TX was dipping into the teens. I have two outside dogs that spend their evenings in the garage. My Border Collie who is 11 years old loves it and won't let the Chow on it!

This is my second Lectro Kennel pad. My first one lasted almost six years. They work great, super quality, and my three dogs love em. However, the fleece cover is nothing more then a cheap thin piece of cloth that usually lasts about two months before u have to throw it away. I would have rated this product 5 stars had it not been for the cover.

However after 2-3 weeks I needed to exchange it because it stopped working. The second has been working but, again, it's only been a few weeks. The concept is good...I hope the product lasts this time.

I purchased this for my in-laws dog after a neighbor bought 2 of them for their cat's. It is so worth it to know that the animals are warmer in the cold weather. Heating pads can be dangerous but we don't worry with the lectro kennel. We did put an xtra blanket on top to cushion for the older dog. (not recommend by K&H)

I have used this product for my dog all winter. He is an outside dog and the mat was put into the back of his dog house. He has loved it. It has been great with cedar down to about 20 degrees on a regular night time basis. Of course, he would not tell me otherwise...since he can't talk. He does seem to be happy with it!
